Court hearing on the case of Upper Lavra postponed to April 2

The head of the National Nature Reserve, Maksym Ostapenko, arrived at the courtroom.
On March 24, 2025, the next court hearing regarding the lawsuit of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the National Reserve concerning the use of the Upper Lavra's churches was supposed to take place at the Northern Economic Court of Appeal in Kyiv. As reported by the Fortress Lavra Telegram channel, the hearing was postponed.
The session began with almost a two-hour delay.
Journalists noted that the head of the National Reserve, Maksym Ostapenko, was present.
"The monastery's lawyers filed a request to postpone the hearing due to the fact that the monks cannot attend. Also due to the illness of a representative of the Kyiv Metropolis. The judges were provided with a medical certificate," the message states.
The judge granted the motion, and the next hearing will take place on April 2 at 14:30.
As reported by the UOJ, the hearings regarding the Upper Lavra have already been postponed three times.
