Andriy Palchuk performed a Neapolitan song, earning enthusiastic applause from the listeners in the bomb shelter.

On February 1, 2025, in Odesa, Archdeacon Andriy Palchuk of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church sang for residents taking shelter in a bomb shelter during an attack.

He performed the Neapolitan song "O Sole Mio" ("My Sun"), earning enthusiastic applause from the listeners. After his performance, the archdeacon shared a personal joy: his son was celebrating his second birthday since miraculously surviving a previous bombardment.

"O Sole Mio" is a famous Neapolitan song written in 1898 by poet Giovanni Capurro and composer Eduardo di Capua. It has become a symbol of Italian musical culture and has been performed by many renowned artists.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a missile strike destroyed the UOC Cathedral in Odesa.
