Patriarch Kirill receives ruling bishops of Luhansk and Rovenky Eparchies
The head of the Russian Orthodox Church met with the bishops of the Luhansk and Rovenky Eparchies.
On July 17, Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus met with Metropolitan Panteleimon of Luhansk and Alchevsk, Archbishop Arkady of Rovenky and Sverdlovsk, and Bishop Paul of Bilovodsk, Vicar of the Luhansk Eparchy, in the Patriarchal Chambers of the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Patriarchate.
The message states that Patriarch Kirill and the bishops of the territories occupied by the Russian Federation "discussed the issues of church life in the Luhansk and Rovenky Eparchies."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church transferred the dioceses of Crimea "under the authority of the Patriarch."
