In Storozhynets, about 500 UOC parishioners come out to defend their church

Late at night, in heavy snow, parishioners gathered to defend their shrine from OCU intruders.
Late on 8 April, in the Bukovynian town of Storozhynets, around 500 parishioners of the Holy Archangels Gabriel and Michael community of the UOC came to the church to defend it from an attempted takeover by the OCU. The faithful had received information about a planned seizure.
A video of the gathered community in front of the church was published on the Facebook page “Faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC”. The clergy and parishioners prayed, proclaiming “Christ is Risen – Truly He is Risen!” in Church Slavonic, Greek, and Romanian.
One of the priests, speaking about the OCU raiders, said: “Let them watch on Facebook and see that we are here.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Verkhni Stanivtsi, a group of bandits failed to seize the UOC church.
