Ministry of Culture sets up a group to inventory Kyiv Caves Lavra property

The group will operate throughout March.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine has established a working group to assess the current condition, inventory, usage, and preservation of state-owned property at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. This is according to an order issued by Minister of Culture N. Tochytskyi on March 12, 2025, published by Interfax.
The minister instructed the head of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve, Maksym Ostapenko, to grant the working group full access to the Lavra's property.
The group consists of five members and is headed by Oleksii Zhukov, head of the Department for Monitoring and Enforcement of Cultural Heritage Protection Legislation within the Ministry’s Directorate for the Protection and Preservation of Cultural Heritage.
As a reminder, on March 25, a Ministry of Culture commission visited the territory of the Lower Lavra.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Ministry of Culture had formed a commission to “inspect” the holy relics at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
