The court will review the lawsuit filed by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the National Reserve.
On February 26, 2025, the Northern Commercial Court of Appeal in Kyiv will hold another hearing on the lawsuit filed by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the National Reserve regarding the right of the monastery’s brotherhood and believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) to use the churches of the Upper Lavra. This was announced by the Lavra’s lawyer, Archpriest Mykyta Chekman, on his Telegram channel.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 14:20 at 1a Sholudenko Street, Kyiv.
The monastery’s legal representative has called on believers for prayers and support.
As the UOJ previously reported, during the previous hearing on January 27, the court granted a motion by the Lavra’s defenders and included the Kyiv Metropolis as a third party in the case.
