Archbishop Pimen addressed the faithful with a sermon on the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

On February 24, 2025, after a prayer for the preservation of Ukraine, Archbishop Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh addressed the faithful with a sermon, expressing gratitude to the clergy of the Rivne Eparchy, who continue to stand with the people despite the difficult times for the Church.

The hierarch emphasized: "Today, we ask for the protection of our brothers, sisters, relatives, both near and far, even those who are far from us but always in our prayers. May the Lord grant them health, peace, and well-being, shielding them from all evil and danger."

"We ask for the protection of all those who share our blood, our compatriots. May God's grace watch over each one, granting strength, faith, and steadfastness," Archbishop Pimen said.

He also expressed gratitude to the clergy of the Rivne Eparchy, who, despite losing their churches, remain with their flock and continue to provide spiritual support and assistance to those in need.

"You remain with the people even when your churches are taken from you. You bless the military, help all those in need. Continue to serve and support, for this is our calling," the hierarch emphasized.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Onuphry delivered an address on the anniversary of Russia's invasion.
