Parishioners in Ust-Putyla vote for loyalty to UOC

276 members of the St. Paraskeva community declared their loyalty to the UOC.
On February 4, 2025, the UOC community of St. Paraskeva in the village of Ust-Putyla, Chernivtsi region, gathered to decide on the potential change of jurisdiction and transition to the OCU. A video of the meeting was published on the community’s Facebook page.
Following the meeting, all 276 participants unanimously voted to remain loyal to the UOC and its Primate, Metropolitan Onuphry. Not a single vote was cast in favor of transitioning to the OCU.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the UOC community in Dubivtsi appealed to the U.S. government over the threat of church seizure.
