Synod: The administrative center of the UOC has been in Kyiv since 1990
The Holy Synod reiterated that the UOC is a self-reliant and independent Church of Christin in its governance.
April 10, 2024, the Holy Synod recalled that the governing center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church since 1990 has been located in the city of Kyiv, according to the Information and Education Department of the UOC.
The Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, held at the St. Panteleimon Monastery in Feofania in the city of Kyiv, once again emphasized that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church is a self-reliant and independent Church of Christ in its governance.
It was also noted that the UOC's pastoral responsibility extends as far as the borders of the Ukrainian state.
In addition, the members of the Holy Synod recalled that since 1990, the administrative center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has been in Kyiv.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the Holy Synod reported the violation of the rights of UOC believers.
